Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Family Empowerment and Welfare driving team (TP-PKK) and the local Health Office in collaboration with the South Kalimantan Health Office and TP-PKK held a free mass circumcision. It demonstrated the government's care for children's health in "Bumi Saijaan" (Kotabaru's nickname).
Kotabaru TP-PKK Chairperson Suci Anisa said that this is the result of synergy between the provincial and local government in providing health services that are beneficial to the community.
"The mass circumcision program not only help ease the economic burden of families, but also contribute to improve children's health and well-being," she said here on Monday.

It is hoped that children will receive proper health services, while also helping those in need through this activity.
"This is a form of shared concern to improve the health quality of the next generation,” she said.
One of the participants, Agus Mariana, from Pulau Laut Utara sub-district, said she was greatly helped by the program.
“I am very enthusiastic about this mass circumcision. People from under privileged can benefit from it, including me bringing my child to participate. This program is very beneficial for the community,” she said.

She hopes similar activities to continue to be held annually, so that more people will benefit from these free health services.
