Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - KP-506 Sadewa foundered at sea after hitting a sandbar on its way to evacuate two bodies of the allegedly victims of AirAsia QZ8501.
The ship belonging to the National Police Headquarters aground while sailing to the island of Maradapan, Sub-district Pulau Sembilan, Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan.
Rescuer at Kotabaru SAR Post M Imam Nazaruddin here on Thursday said, KP Sadewa departed from Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu, Wednesday (14/1) at around 19:00 pm with a joint team.
"A few hours after sailing or about 02.00 am, the ship ran aground due to hit the sandbar at Batulicin waters," he said.
