Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Former Head of Forestry Office Hanif Faisol Nurofiq stated he was ready to bring the reforestation program carried out in South Kalimantan as a role model and pilot project at the national level.
"We are ready to encourage reforestation and forestry empowerment program in South Kalimantan to become a national role model and pilot project," he said in Banjarbaru, Friday.
Hanif was speaking at the handover position to his successor Fathimatuzzahra in a ceremony attended by the South Kalimantan Regional secretary Abdul Haris in Banjarbaru.
Hanif, who had served as head of South Kalimantan Forestry Agency for four year, is trusted to hold a position as the Secretary of the Environment and Forestry Ministry's Directorate General for Forest Planology and Environment.
According to him, the success of South Kalimantan in implementing reforestation program cannot be separated from the support of Governor Sahbirin Noor and the regional secretary, and was considered suffessful in developing it.
"The program was in line with the Work Creation Law, including the plantation in forest area, so it is appropriate to become a pilot project," he said.
Hanif expressed his gratitude for the support of all parties, especially governor and vice governor, the ranks of Forestry Agency , KPH and RPH of all districts who had supported his work program.
"Thank you to all those who have supported me while I was here, including media who intensively reported on the activities of work program of the Forestry Agency," he said.
He asked his successor not to feel awkward to work on continuing the forestation program in accordance with the governor's direction which had been compiled with all level of the provincial government.
Regional Secretary Abdul Haris Makkie on behalf of the governor congratulated on his new assignment as the Secretary of Directorate General for Forest Planology and Environment.
"We are officially lost but proud that the South Kalimantan's ASN (state civil apparatus) is trusted to carry out task in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Hopefully you bring the positive impact to the ministry's performance," he said.
He stated that he supported Hanif's steps in encouraging South Kalimantan's reforestation program to become a role model for the preparation of greening program at the national level.
Meanwhile, Fatimatuzzahra praised Hanif as a visionary hard worker and highly committed to work, until he brought big changes in the agency over the four years.
"We really lost him, as he was able to come up with good work program during in the office, thus he received appreciation from the central government," said the female official.
