Martapura, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Banjar Regent Khalilurrahman instructed the related agency to sort or recycle garbage before disposing to the Banjarbakula Regional Last Waste Disposal (TPA) in Banjarbaru.
"As it has been directed by President Joko Widodo when inaugurating the Banjarbakula landfill that the garbage has been sorted before disposing of, so we instruct the relevant agency to run it," he said in Martapura, Sunday (Feb 9, 2020).
He said the community must also support what is done by the janitors, namely to sort out waste before going to the landfill (TPA).

If waste sorting is done by the people starting at home, waste processing at the landfill will be better and does not require a long process of decomposition.
"The point is it starts from the resident who do the sorting before disposing to the temporary waste disposal (TPS), then to be continued by janitors before dumping to the landfill," he pointed out.
As it has been reported, the Banjarbakula Regional Landfill on Jalan Gunung Kupang, Banjarbaru, built by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) and managed by the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan, has been inaugurated by President Joko Widodo, Friday (Feb 7, 2020)
