Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Kotabaru Public Hospital still require additional specialists doctors to provide optimal health services to the community.
Chairman of Commission III of Kotabaru DPRD H Rusli Erfan on Friday said that until now Kotabaru still faced issue of the lack of specialist doctors in hospital, leaving many patients have to be referred to Ulin General Hospitals in Banjarmasin.
Kotabaru Public Hospital has four specialist doctors, namely child specialists, specialists in internal, obstetrics and gynecology specialists, and surgical specialists.
He said, it is the task of the local government to immediately provide specialist for all patients admitted to hospitals to be addressed immediately, no need to be referred to outside areas.
According to him, the Kotabaru hospital requires heart specialist, ophthalmologist, dermatologist, radiologist, neurologist, and a clinical pathology specialist.
Kotabaru Regent H Irhami Ridjani previously requested the local hospital management to improve services to patients.
