Banjarmasin (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - Unit Sabhara Resort City Police (Polresta) Banjarmasin raided thugs who often disturb people in some public places.
Head of Police Sabhara Banjarmasin, Kompol Haryono MT in Banjarmasin on Sunday (14/4), said the raid was to follow up on public complaints about widespread thugs who commit extortion against drivers and merchants.
There are several points that were raided, including Sentra Antasari Market and Main Terminal Km 6 where many suspected thugs roamed the two places.
Not for impromptu alone. "Thuggery raid will be on a regular basis, in addition to anticipate crime also to preserve and maintain security and public order," he explained.
Raids against the thuggery carried out around 13:00 pm and headed straight to the points corresponding to predetermined targets public complaints over the years. In the raid, every person who is considered thugs directly secured, and his identity checked and and asked on what reason hi is in the market or in the terminal.
For those who secured of not having identity card (KTP) were processed as misdemeanor, while others of being caught for committing a criminal act then the legal process will be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Unit Police (Satreskrim) Banjarmasin.
"Activity raids against the existence of this thuggery, as a form of police and imaging performance improvement of uniformed police, who are always quick to respond to any public complaints in Banjarmasin," said Haryono.
