Tabalong prepares 27 schools to win provincial and national adiwiyata awards

Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tabalong Environment Agency (Dinas LH) is now preparing 27 schools to win the environment awards of adiwiyata for provincial and national level as well.


This year alone, said Head Section of Raising Environment Capacity of the agency Akhmad Riadhi said, 12 schools are prepared to compete to win adiwiyata. They all represent Tabalong in the provincial level.

"Beside to the provincial level, we also prepare schools for national adiwiyata," he pointed out saying that the candidates for national adiwiyata school in the district are as many as 15 from elementary to high school.

But, Riadi acknowledged, several school resigned from the adiwiyata candidacy for provincial level. They were MTs Ar Raudah Tanta, SMP Negeri 3 Tanjung and SD ITAn Nahl for the reason of lack of personnel to handle documents for adiwiyata.

Meanwhile, the agency keeps moving to motivates to realize the environemtally friendly schools through adiwiyata program from the district level to province till national.

Data of the local Environment Agency shows two school in Tabalong have won the national adiwiyata award, namely SMA Negeri 1 Jaro and SD Cakung Permata Nusa.

Tabalong has only one school who won adiwiyata mandiri, namely SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung. But there five school as adiwiyata mandiri candidates, namely SMA Negeri 1 Tanta, SMP Negeri 4 Murung Pudak, SMP Negeri 2 Murung Pudak, SMA Negeri 1 Muara Uya and SMK Negeri 1 Murung Pudak.
