Ambon (ANTARA) - The Maluku Provincial Government will attend a diving exhibition in Guangzhou, China, from June 28-30, 2019, to promote diving spots in Maluku and encourage tourists from China to visit the area. Maluku Tourism Head of Staff, Habiba Samima, said in Ambon on Friday, adding, "We will be promoting diving packages, among others, in the cities of Ambon, Banda, Seram Island and others spread across 11 districts/cities."
He further added, "We are trying to capture tourists from China who visit North Sulawesi through direct flights from China to Manado three times a week."
Habiba stressed on facilitating Asita Maluku to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT. Indonesian Maritime Enchantment.
PT. Pesona Bahari Indonesia is a large agent of Chinese suppliers to Indonesia, through Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi.
"The Maluku Provincial Government and the North Sulawesi Provincial Government, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, is a collaborative to direct Chinese tourists to visit the Moluccas," Habiba said.
Previously, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the People's Republic of China and Mongolia, Djauhari Oratmangun, promised to encourage Indonesian exports to China, increase investments in Indonesia and encourage foreign tourists from China to visit Indonesia.
"Tourists from China need to visit Maluku through Manado because it offers more value than other regions in Indonesia for the sector, namely the sea, the sun, the sand / beach), smile and service or hospitality. "Everything in Maluku is just about how it is packaged and promoted," he said.
