Mayor Ibnu Sina on Monday (13/5) inaugurated the director of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital, the first hospital belonging to the City Government of Banjarmasin, and asked him to serve the poor, even though they do not have a Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS) card.


"To the director of the Sultan Suriansyah Regional Hospital, who was just inaugurated, I request that patients who are needy or poor must be served, even if they do not have a BPJS card. Anyone who enters the emergency installation must be quickly served and handled properly," he insisted.

Dr. Sukotjo Hartono, Sp was the first person to become a director of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital. Previously he was an intermediate doctor at the Banjarmasin City Health Office.

That day, the mayor inaugurated three heads of agencies and one director of the hospital at City Hall.

Dr Machli Riyadi, who was previously Deputy Director of Administration and Law at the Sambang Lihum Mental Hospital, received a new position as head of the Banjarmasin Health Office.

Muhammad Taufik Rivani, SH previously the head of the Kotabaru Youth and Sports Agency was appointed as head of the Banjarmasin Youth and Sports Agency.

The Head of Government of the Banjarmasin City Iwan Ristianto is now trusted to assume the position of Head of the Social Service.

"Today we inaugurate the head of the Youth and Sport Agency, head Social Agency, head of Health Agency and for the first time the director of the Sultan Suriansyah Hospital Banjarmasin, and this is to accelerate the operation of the hospital, which we will run on September 24, 2019," said H Ibn Sina.

After preparing the building and inaugurating the director of the hospital, he said, the next step that the City Government will do regarding the acceleration of the operation of the Sultan Suriansyah Hospital is to prepare medical and non-medical personnel and complete medical equipment.
