The State Logistics Agency (Bulog) and Wing Foods facilitated by the North Hulu Sungai (HSU) Industry and Trade Agency held discount markets in 10 sub-districts during Ramadan 1440 H.
Discount market activities began in the Banjang Sub-District precisely in Kaludan Kecil Village which immediately received enthusiastic welcome from residents when the prices of basic necessities crawled up into Ramadan.
The low-cost market activities also in cooperation with TP-PKK and Dharma Wanita Persatuan (the Association of Wives of Civil Servants).
The Chairwoman of the TP PKK Hj Anisah Rasyidah Wahid when opening the discount market hoped this could help ease the burden on the needy citizens who were the target of this activity.
"Thank you to Bulog and Wings Food who have worked with the local government to implement the Ramadan discount market, of course, is very helpful for our underprivileged people," Anisah said in Amuntai on Wednesday.
Anisah said the price of staple foods pegged like sugar only sold Rp10,000 per kg, cooking oil Rp12,500 per liter, wheat flour Rp8,000 per kg, meat Rp80,000 per kg and duck eggs Rp15,000 per 10 and many more.
"The HSU Government has subsidized the prices of basic foods, so that they can be sold to the public at lower prices than in the market," explained Anisah.
The Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Disperindagkop and UKM) informed the next discount market schedule on Thursday (9/5) in Tayur Village, North Amuntai Sub-District, continued Monday (13/5) to Thursday at Paliwara Village, Banua Hanyar Village, Sungai Tabukan Sub-District, Sapala Village Paminggir Sub-district and Babirik Hulu Village.
Monday (5/20) to Thursday in Jalan Lurus Village, Sungai Pandan Sub-District, Rantawan Village, and Murung Sari Village, Central Amuntai Sub-district, and Palukahan Village, Danau Panggang Sub-district.
"While the discount market carried out by the South Kalimantan Province is planned for Sunday, May 26 in Pihaung Village, Haur Gading Sub-district," said head Disperindagkop and UKM Akhmad Redhani Effendi.
