Air transportation contributed the highest inflation in April in Banjarmasin City in addition to other commodities such as shallots, house rent and garlic.
"Air transport contributed the highest share of inflation in Banjarmasin, which became the benchmark inflation rate in South Kalimantan with April inflation of 0.94 percent," Head of the South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Diah Utami said on Thursday.
Inflation in South Kalimantan which is a combination of Banjarmasin and Tanjung which in April 2019 was recorded at 0.94 percent with the consumer price index 137.24.
She said, inflation in Banjarmasin in March was 0.97 percent with an annual inflation rate of 4.11 percent while inflation in Tanjung reached 0.47 percent with a YoY inflation rate of 1.53 percent.
