Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Implementation of the 104th TNI Integrated Village Development (TMMD) in Haruai Subdistrict, Tabalong, received support from local government with self-managed funds amounting to Rp1.6 billion from the 2019 Regional Budget (APBD).

"This year TMMD received self-managed funding of Rp1.6 billion for physical and non-physical activities," explained the Commander of the 1008Tanjung Military Command (Dandim) Lt Col. Edi Susanto about the TNI service scheduled for February 26 to March 27, 2019 involving 150 personnel.

The funds allocated through the Community Empowerment and Village Government Agency, said Edy, will be used to open the access road for Ribang Village to Hayup Village, Haruai Subdistrict, 1.8 kilometers long.

Previously, local residents had difficulty accessing the nearest village because the road conditions were narrow and muddy and had to travel more than seven kilometers.

In addition to making road access, TMMD activities also make road bodies, drainage, house renovations, road embankment, installing culverts and bridge construction in the same location.

"Now, 15 minutes is enough for residents to go to the nearest village because we have opened and widened the access road," explained Edy.

"The additional targets that we have carried out include making a mushalla (small prayer place) fence and security post," explained Edi.

Furthermore, the 104th TMMD in Tabalong will officially be opened on 26 February 2019 in Ribang Village, Haruai Sub-District, by Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani.
