Batulicin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Dialysis device or hemodialysis at the Tanah Bumbu District Hospital (RSUD) of Dr. Andi Abbdurrahman Noor, South Kalimantan, began operating in early 2019 to serve patients.
Director of the hospital Arman through Head of Administration Shaleh in Batulicin, Tuesday, said before having its own dialysis device, patients treated were referred to Kotabaru Hospital and Ulin Hospital in Banjarmasin.
"Since Dr. Andi Abbdurrahman Noor Hospital has a dialysis device it helps local patients as they no longer needs to be referred to outside the area, even now the hospital opens dialysis service for 24 hours," he added.
At present there are four units of dialysis devices operated by dr. Andi Abbdurrahman Noor Hospital and all of them are purely funded by the local government for about Rp 4 billion.
The hospital management sent several doctors and nurses to Surabaya to attend training for three months as the officer who will operate the dialysis device.
At the initial service the dialysis facility has served nine local patients per week. Patients from even the most remote sub-districts no more need to go all the way to Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin.
"The Dr. Andi Abbdurrahman Noor Hospital is committed to improving health services for the community and is proven by achieving the Five Star Plenary accredited predicate from the National Hospital Accreditation Committee (KARS)," he explained.
