Jakarta (Antaranews Kalsel) - Hj Raudatul Jannah Sahbirin Noor, Head of the South Kalimantan Chapter (Kwarda), is trusted to be in the main management of the National Chapter (Kwarnas) of the Indonesia Scout Movement for the 2018-2023 term.
Together with the Chairman of the Kwarnas Budi Waseso, Brigadier General Hasto Pratisto Yuwono, Boedi Oetomo, H Sudirman, Idris Khan, Colonel Inf Sunarto, the wife of the Governor of South Kalimantan was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Chair of the Scout National Development Council), in the main structure of the National Defense Commission.
"With the grace of God Almighty, on Thursday, December 27, 2018, I inaugurate brothers and sisters as chairpersons and members of the National Chapter of the Scout Movement for the Period 2018-2023," said President Jokowi at the State Palace.
President put great hope that the scout movement will increasingly provide color for improving the quality of the younger generation in working to build the nation.
The Scout Movement, he continued, is a means of education for the younger generation in a joint effort to build the character of the nation's noble values and likes to do good.
Chairman of the National Scout Movement Budi Waseso said that currently, the Scout Movement is an effective means of fostering the character of the young generation.
The young generation, he said, needs to know the challenges facing Indonesia today. For this reason, he said, Scout coaching must also be in accordance with the country's current needs, such as national defense, food security, and entrepreneurship.
Meanwhile, Hj Raudatul Jannah expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the government and the national scouting organization for the trustworthiness given.
"This is a trust from the state that must be fulfilled with all the capabilities and outpouring of high thoughts for the greatness of the scout organization. Let's enlarge our scouts with creative works to strengthen the role of scouts at national and international levels," she said with a cheerful face.
