Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Some retired government employees who gather in the Retiree Bicycle Community (KSP) are promoting river cruising tour in the Banjarmasin City.
To boost river tourism, the retirees trace the banks of the river that have the potential to become a tourist attraction in the city.
Saturday morning (17/11) as many as 18 KSP members visited the potential tourism areas. They took pictures of the objects from various angles, then published them on social media through their respective accounts.
The founder of KSP Akhmad Arifin admitted that retirement does not mean stagnation in activities but on the contrary more intensive in the community, with cycling, environmental action, sports, including being a pioneer of tourism.
"We retirees want to be more useful human beings, therefore anything that is of a positive value will always be done through the community," said Achmad Arifin, a retired provincial government official.
While KSP Chairperson Haris Karno acknowledged this community is formed to gather retirees to always move so that they live a happier and healthier old age.
Their activities are not only social action but also exercise and the most intense cycling every Saturday, including promoting the river cruising tourism in Banjarmasin.
