Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Inspector General Police Yazid Fanani now officially serves as South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief replacing Inspector General Rachmat Mulyana.


"South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Sertijab (handover position ceremony) was held at the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Friday," South Kalimantan Police Public Relations Division Head Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Mochamad Rifai said here on Friday.

The handover ceremony of the South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief and a number of other high-rank police officers was led by National Police Chief (Kapolri) General Tito Karnavian and attended by Deputy Chief of National Police Comr. Gen. Ari Dono Sukmanto.

The change of position of the South Kalimantan Regional Police was stated in the Kapolri's Telegram Letter Number: ST/2014/VIII/KEP/2018 dated August 13, 2018. The position of the South Kalimantan Regional Police was included in 35 Pati (high-rank police officers) with the rank of inspector general and brigadier general.

Inspector General Rachmat Mulyana now serves as Kapolri's. Sahlisosek (Social and Economic Expert Staff). Meanwhile, Insp.Gen. Yazid Fanani was previously a high-rank officer at National Police's Security Intelligence Agency (Baintelkam) in an assignment to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

"Inspector General of Police Rachmat Mulyana and Inspector General of Police Yazid Fanani were scheduled to go directly to Banjarmasin to attend the release and welcoming ceremony on Saturday (8/9) afternoon at the Regional Police Headquarters," Rifai explained.
