Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Six regional heads were awarded by South Kalimantan Police Chief (Kapolda) Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana in Banjarmasin for the achievement of Ramadniya Intan Operation and Patuh Operation 2017.
"The awards for regent or mayor are in line with the achievement of the local police as a vehicle to successfully reduced the number of accidents with a variety of efforts to start with preemptive, preventive to law enforcement through the synergy of all stakeholders involved," said South Kalimantan Traffic Police Director Sr Comr E Zulpan in Banjarmasin, Sunday.
The awards were submitted during the Declaration of the Year of Safety for Humanity at Menara Pandang building just at the riverside embankment of Martapura River.
The Mayor of Banjarmasin received the award of the Highest Law Enforcement Against Violation Category with a total of 2,802 tickets. Then Regent Kotabaru received the award for Category of the Most Coordination Meeting with Related Institution, namely 27 times.
Meanwhile, Tanah Bumbu Regent received the award of the Most Safety Riding Category, which was recorded 49 times.
North Hulu Sungai Regent received the award category of Best Traffic Accidents Decrease with the percentage decrease in traffic accidents to 100 percent or no traffic accident at all.
In Patuh Intan Operation, Banjarmasin Mayor again received the award category Top Prosecution Against Violations by the number of 750 cases.
Then Regent Tabalong as a recipient of the award Category the Best of Decreasing Traffic Accidents, Regent Barito Kuala as champion for Security Operation Post Category in Ramadniya Intan 2017 in terms of design of the exterior and inside, the completeness of the data panel and the personnel attendance.
Tanah Bumbu Regent Mardani H maming, who received the award along with Tanah Bumbu Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Kus Subiyantoro acknowlegded proud of their achievement related efforts to reduce the number of accidents on the highway.
"This is the fruit of hard work of local police chief and all ranks, and we as local government contributed to the provision of facilities and traffic infrastructure and road transportation a viable and always urged people to always orderly in driving with safety," said Mardani.
