Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Members of East Banjarmasin Sector Police have secured a 2-meter crocodile found by people in a residential area.


"The crocodile was found on Friday (6/29) at around 16.30 at Jalan Pramuka, Semanda II Housing Complex, East Banjarmasin," said East Banjarmasin Police Chief Comr HM Uskiansyah through Head of Crime Detective Unit First Insp (Iptu) Timuryono here on Friday.

Inas (36), a sand freight worker, was the first to find the crocodile, as he rested and heard the sounds from the bushes. When checked, it turns out he saw a crocodile and immediately called other people to catch the wild animal.

Meanwhile, Khairil, the owner of the house at the site around the crocodile was found, said he did not know who the owner of the crocodile and how it could get around his home.

"Because of wild crocodiles has no owner, then we take it to Polsekta (City Sector Police) for temporary safekeeping," explained Timuryono.

The plan, the crocodile will be submitted to the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA).
