Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Police's Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) has recorded the largest catch of narcotics type sabu-sabu with the amount of evidence seized 18 kilograms.
"Alhamdulilah. It is the blessing of the holy month of Ramadan, the hard work of the members of the Ditresnarkoba has produced extraordinary results, deserves appreciation," South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana remarked here Monday.
The findings of evidence this time was spelled out fantastic and most in the history of the disclosure of narcotics crime in South Kalimantan.
Having previously recorded the largest ecstasy catch record of 11,784 pills from Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands, on January 23, 2018, this time a joint team of Subdit II, Subdit III and Rajawali Hitam team led by their director Sr Comr (Kombes) Muhammad Firman again sniffed a smuggling plan of sabu-sabu in large quantities.
Starting from the development of the Karang Intan Martapura Drug Prison network, with suspect AY arrested on March 21 with 755.9 grams of sabu-sabu, his men were informed that the international drug dealer network is moving back to supply sabu-sabu to South Kalimantan.
"Suspected sabu-sabu courier named SR (28) and Ra (23) have been monitored until members leave for Padang, West Sumatra," police chief told.
After being monitored, the two perpetrators turned out from Padang to Jakarta by land route and then flew through Soekarno Hatta Airport to Syamsudin Noor Airport on Sunday (20/5) afternoon. Both were ambushed when out of the airport area.
"Previous suspects tried to outwit our members by going back and forth from Padang to Jakarta until they decided by land to Jakarta," the one-star general said.
The 18 kilogram shabu-shabu evidence consists of 37 packages of sabu-sabu and three packages of narcotics white powder. The details are a cardboard box containing 23 packs weighing 11.2 kilograms and a cardboard containing 17 packages weighing 6.8 kilograms.
To fool the checks of airport officers and X-Ray machines, sabu-sabu was packaged in food packaging "Abon Lele Lampung" and "Abon Ikan Tuna Balado Padang" with large cardboard packaging product "Kripik Balado Christine Hakim".
"Because trying to escape during the ambush, the two suspects who are residents of Satui, Tanah Bumbu, were dealt with firmly by shooting their legs as well as a deterrent effect, I have ordered just shoot if any drug dealer fight when arrested," said police chief
