Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) will host the 2nd National Conference of College Volunteers Alliance of Anti-Drug Abuse (Artipena), which is planned to be opened by President Joko Widodo.
ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Sutarto Hadi said he himself with the board of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of Artipena has conveyed the invitation for the President through the Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko at the State Palace.
"If there is no obstacle, the President will be present to open the national conference which will be attended by about 300 participants from 36 board of Artipena across Indonesia on May 8, 2018," he said.
Sutarto, Chairman of the Artipena Regional Executive Board of South Kalimantan, said that the hope for the president to be in South Kalimantan is related to he is scheduled to open Sixth Ijtima Ulama on 7-10 May 2018 at Al Falah Islamic Boarding School in Banjarbaru.
There are a number of discussion agendas discussing the strategic issues of prevention and drug abuse in the national conference.
In addition to presenting a number of panelists from various universities, the conference will feature several key speakers, including Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Prof H Mohamad Nasir, House of Representatives Speaker Bambang Soesatyo, Head of National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Heru Winarko and South Kalimantan Governor H. Sahbirin Noor.
