Amuntai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto launched the 2018 National Integrated TNI program on Family Planning Health (TMKK) in Amuntai, North Hulu Sungai District, Tuesday.


TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto here said TMKK as one of the TNI and the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) efforts and contribution in building Indonesia's population to be balanced with the available carrying capacity.
 
"Seventeen more years the population of Indonesia will reach 300 million, we must anticipate and prepare the carrying capacity so that in 2035 can take advantage of demographic bonus," said Hadi Tjahjanto.
 
The TNI commander thanked the South Kalimantan provincial government and HSU which have been implementing the 2018 National TMKK declaring, so it works well.
 
He also pinned thanks to the TNI who have implemented various programs and activities to support the development of the population sector and family planning.
  
"A pride and honor for North Hulu Sungai district to be chosen to host the National TMKK," said HSU Regent Abdul Wahid.
 
Wahid said he did not estimate that family planning and health efforts in his area could reduce the case of stunting from 59% in 2013 to 31% by the end of 2017.
 
Wahid promised to improve health and nutrition services for the first 1000 days of life in order to prepare the quality of human resources prime in intelligence, growth, and endurance.
