Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Class IIA Prison officers have thwarted 1,154 CTM type drugs smuggling attempted by a female visitor.
"The perpetrators hid thousands of the drugs in a food bag while visiting an inmate on Saturday at around 10:00 am," Prison Head Rudi Charles Gill said on Saturday.
The action of the woman, SB (57) was caught during a search of the body by two duty officers, Suci Paradita Sari and Suratno.
Banjarmasin Prison officers are now also equipped with 3D X-Ray tool that can detect forbidden objects invisible through manual inspection.
According to the woman's confession, the drugs were ordered from her husband, an inmate, An, from room 13 Block A.
"The plan is the drug will be sold to other prisoners for Rp5.000 per piece contents of 12 pills," said the head of the prison.
Upon the findings, the female visitor and the evidence directly submitted to the West Banjarmasin Police for a further legal process.
While the inmate concerned has been secured in Cell HD Block C for further processing in order to obtain sanctions in accordance with the provisions in the prison.
"CTM is known as a drug commonly consumed for itchy skin and so on, but it is feared this drug is misused in in prisons to get drunk effects such as Zenith or Dextro pills with excessive consumption," said prison head.
