Kotabaru, South Kalimantan 19/11 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Commander of Kelambau Navy ship Marine Navy Captain (P) Dwi Sulistyo said the body of KM Makmur Rejeki crew found by fishermen have been evacuated.


"Found by fishermen, taken, then we evacuate," he said in Kotabaru on Sunday.

The body was found by fishermen on Thursday (16/11) and tied to the ship so as not to drift while waiting for the SAR team to pick up.

Actually, there were two bodies floating at that time. But when one of them was secured by fishermen, other body swept away by the current.

"Information from fishermen there were two bodies. When the first brought, then when back to the scene the second one was not there," he said.

The joint SAR team from Basarnas, the Navy and the Kotabaru Port Authority Office (KSOP) arrived late Thursday after traveling 100 miles for nine hours with the Kelambau fleet.

Evacuation of the victim from the fishing boat was carried out the next day by katir boat because Kelambau Navy ship could not get close to the island.

The condition of the victim has been difficult to recognize, except the clothing that was still attached the red shirt and blue pants.

"We also had time to do a sweep of about 20 miles to the north, northeast, and south, but the result was nil," said Dwi.

The team then decided to return to Kotabaru because logistics and fuel supplies were running low.

Saturday morning, Kelambau taking home one of the crew body docked at the Kotabaru Fishing Landing Base.

After getting off the ship, the corpse was immediately taken by ambulance to Kotabaru District Hospital.
