Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 17/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 65 companies in South Kalimantan received nationwide "Zero Accident Award" in 2017 and have fulfilled the Occupational Safety and Health (K3) regulations.


Head of the South Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Agency Antonius Simbolon in Banjarmasin on Thursday said that of the 65 companies five of them, in addition to receiving the Zero Accident Award, also received the Zero HIV Award.

The 65 companies, Antonius said, including companies engaged in the mining, plantation, warehousing, electrical services, also mechanical companies such as Trakindo.

"There is one company engaged in the oil sector in the Lari-larian region, namely Mubadalah, which is also awarded," he said.

Upon receiving the award, he said, the company directly represented by the director from Abu Dhabi.

The offshore contractor company, he said, was deemed eligible to receive the award, because after thousands hours of work and operations, it can maintain the safety and health of its employees.

"The entire assessment of the awarded companies involves an independent team," he said.

According to Antonius, the number of companies that managed to get the award made the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor became one of the heads of regions that get the best national assessment in corporate coaching.

In 2017, he added, there are three work accidents, due to human error. "Of the three occupational accidents after we investigated the safety equipment and SOP were quite complete, just not utilized to the maximum," he said.

In 2016, he said, work accidents are quite fatal, or cause death, happened one event.

In the future, he added, the importance of K3 implementation for the company, will continue to be socialized, so that more and more companies, pay attention to the safety and health of their employees.

Manager of HSSE and Asset Integrity of Mubadalah Petroleum Satrio Pratomo said, for three years no work accident in his company, even only minor injuries.

According to him, because the K3 management has been well implemented, the company in 2015 was awarded by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. In 2017, the company got another award from the Governor of South Kalimantan.

"After that on Wednesday night (16/8), we again received an award from the Ministry of Manpower submitted by the Governor of South Kalimantan, Sahbirin Noor in Mahligai Pancasila building," he said.
