South Kalimantan pushes tourism development acceleration

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Provincial Government through the Tourism Agency encourages the acceleration of tourism development through various promotional activities as well as the construction of tourism supporting facilities and infrastructures.

Acting Head of South Kalimantan Tourism Agency Drs H Mahyuni here on Thursday said that workshop is among the promotive efforts by inviting relevant agencies, business actors and professional tourism institutions.

His office also invites all stakeholders, including districts and municipalities to explore new tourism potentials that can be promoted to various regions, regional, national and international.

"We also explore information and thoughts related to efforts to improve the development of the regional tourism sector," he said.

Other activities are conducting work program innovations in accordance with market conditions and potential.

The provincial secretary Abdul Haris hopes the optimization of careful efforts to explore new potentials of regional tourism should not only focus on efforts to improve existing tourism.

In South Kalimantan there are many new tourism potential that can also be developed as the forerunner of the region's flagship tourism, he said.
