Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan Province, received the 2025 BAZNAS Award from the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) for the category of Regional Head Supporting Indonesia Zakat Movement.

Regent of Tapin H Yamani said that this recognition was the result of collaborative efforts between the local government, Baznas Tapin, and community support.

"This is not a personal award, but proof that zakat program can be managed well when the government and Baznas synergize," he said when confirmed from Rantau, Tapin District, Saturday.

"The district government also distributing electricity assistance to houses of worship, additional incentives for non-civil servant teachers, marbot (mosque caretakers), and religious educators," he said.

The BAZNAS Award, he said, will motivate him to continue to optimize zakat in Tapin.

"The award is just a bonus, the most important thing is that the community feels the real benefits," he said.

"His program align with the central government policies, thus the benefits are felt more widely by the community," he said.
