The Amanah Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) held training on Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program for early childhood education (PAUD) teachers and catering managers in Tabalong District and Balangan District, South Kalimantan.
YABN Chairperson Zuraida Murdia Hamdie expounded online that MBG program is part of YABN's commitment to produce superior generation from early age through appropriate nutritional intervention.
“(We bring) MBG program to ensure that preschool children (PAUD) receive quality, nutritious food in a fun way,” she said on Tuesday (July 29, 2025).

Zuraida underlined that character education and children's intelligence cannot be separated from meeting their nutritional needs.
This training provides participants with basic concept of MBG, responsive feeding techniques, principles of early childhood nutrition, as well as practical anthropometric measurements for monitoring nutritional status.
Participants were also equipped with skills in program monitoring and evaluation, as well as strategies for nutrition education and literacy for children and parents.
Dozens of YABN-fostered PAUD teachers, as well as MBG partner catering from Tabalong and Balangan attended the two days training held on July 24 and 25, 2025.
The aim was to stengthen the capacity of educators and caterers in supporting the fulfillment of early children nutritional needs through a holistic, structured, and sustainable approach.
One of sourcepersons, dr Dani Ferdian, explained about the importance of MBG concept as part of an integrated community health service approach.
“MBG is not only targets meal providing, but also serves as a gateway to build healthy lifestyle from early age," he expounded.
Head of Early Childhood and Community Education of the Tabalong Education and Culture Office Akhmad Syamsi expressed his appreciation for YABN's initiative in supporting government program in improving early childhood nutrition and education.
