Banjarmasin, (South Kalimantan) - Satreskrim Polres Hulu Sungai Selatan, South Kalimantan, arrested a gold miner without permission to conduct mining activities in the local city area.

"The perpetrators were arrested because of reports from people who are anxious about the illegal gold mining activities," said Hulu Sungai Selatan Police Chief AKBP Sukendar Eka Ristiyan Putra through AKP Head of Public Relations Agus Winartono in Kandangan on Friday.

He said the arrest of illegal gold miners was conducted by the Tipidter Unit on Monday (17/4) afternoon, at around 17:00 WITA.

For the name of the perpetrator of the interrogation results known named Rusmadi Pahampangan Village residents, District Padang Batung, Hulu Sungai Selatan District.

Head of Public Relations continued to say, the arrest started from checking by the authorities due to gold mining activities that do not have permission from the authorized institution.

Not only that the gold mining actor admitted that he did the mining activity on his own land.

"The perpetrators were reported to the residents because their activities were disturbing the residents and damaging the environment around the mining site," he said.
