A member of Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) Gewsima Mega Putra appreciated the local government for making changes in health bureaucracy.
"We positively welcome the breakthrough in changing the public health service bureaucracy to make it easier and faster, which is initiated by the Kotabaru government." said Gewsima Putra here as reported on Friday.
Putra acknowledged that Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program initiated by the regional government here through Health Office in cooperation with state-run health insurer BPJS Kesehatan is very helpful to the community.
It was not like when the office applied statement of inadequacy (SKTM) for poor residents when seeking treatment. However, UHC program cuts these administrative requirements for RT, urban village/village statement that were implemented when SKTM system was still in effect.
"With UHC, people who want to seek treatment to Kotabaru hospital only need to bring KTP (ID card)," he said.

Not only it is easy and simple, he said, with UHC program patients who have not entered BPJS are registered for participation with fees paid by the Kotabaru regional government.
According to Putra, Article 28 H paraghraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution stated everyone has the right to receive health services.
In addition, Law No.36 of 2009 stated that everyone has the right to receive safe, quality and affordable health services.
For this reason, he asked the District Government of Kotabaru through the Health Office to immediately socialize this change to the community.
"Data on UHC recipients must be coordinated with Social Office related to community data in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS)," he concluded.
