PT Adaro Indonesia is committed to continuing and providing support to micro, small and medium business (popularly called UMKM) in Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, through Adaro Spectapreneur 5.0 program. 

This is Adaro's successful program last year. Adaro continues this as an effort to enhance sales of UMKM's products and to survive in a competitive market.

"This program aims to overcome the decline in turnover due to various challanges, including the impact of pandemic," said PT Adaro Indonesia CSR for Economic Sector Arief Munadi here on Sunday (August 18, 2024).

In addition, he said, Adaro wants to assure the local MSMEs (UMKM) have competitiveness and can adapt to market changes.

He expounded that Adaro Spectapreneur 5.0  also educates UMKM actors about digital marketing as an important step in th current era.

The program receives full support from the Tabalong Cooperative, SME, Industry and Trade Office (Diskopukmperindag) , Tabalong Integrated Business Service Center, and various work partners. 

Arief said MSMEs' business innovation is very important to maintain relevance and competitiveness in an ever-changing market.

“Many MSMEs have not developed for years because they lack innovation. Thus, we want to encourage MSMEs in Tabalong not to be complacent and continue to be creative,” he pointed out.

The Adaro Spectapreneur 5.0 series, which coincides with the commemoration of National MSME Day 2024, includes a talk show and FGD with the theme “Strengthening Local Economy with MSMEs Innovation and Collaboration" at Pendopo Bersinar Pembataan, Monday (August 19).

The peak of the event is marked with MSME bazaar at Tanjung Expo Center on 30 August - 4 September 2024. 

Not only a promotional event for MSMEs, the bazaar also filled with various community activities, such as Traditional Cake Festival, Mass Radap Rahayu Dance, and Halal Pentol Cart Parade.

Previously, business actors also attended workshop and coaching clinic: strengthening business foundation with a theme How to Make Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Design Thinking guided by Ahmad Fahrija from the Balangan Business Incabator Institution. 

Participants are expected to design a solid business model and ready to compete in facing market challanges after receving various component, such as customer segment, offer value, communication, income flow, and others on BMC worksheet.

“A positive mindset and good planning tools are keys to start and develop business,” said Fahrija.
