The Batulicin Immigration Office in Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, is intensifying supervision of foreigners in Mentewe Sub-district through Jagratara or foreign surveillance operation.

"Jagratara foreign surveillance operation is conducted simultaneously throughout Indonesia on August 21-22, 2024," said Head of Batulicin Immigration Office Ferizal here on Wednesday.

He said it was carried out to increase supervision of  foreign nationals who come to Tanah Bumbu District as workers and to assure whether they really comply with immigration regulations.

Jagratara operation involved Immigration Division of the South Kalimantan Office of Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Banjarmasin Immigration Office.

"Officers have examined 134 foreign workers (TKA) at PT Transcoal Minergy in Mantewe. They checked immigration documents, which included stay permits and visas," said Ferizal.

The 134 foreign workers work at PT Transcoal Minergy were from China (RRT) and all held limited stay permits.

"While carrying out activities in the field, the team did not find any immigration violantions committed by foreign workers and guarantors," said Ferizal.

The team appealed to the company about duties and obligation regarding foreigners to report them regularly to the Immigration Office and the company understood and complied with the regulation so far.
