The Batulicin Immigration Office is keeping eyes on 40 foreign nationals (WNA) from China and Philippines who came to Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan.

"They came to Kotabarau on Saturday and Sunday using two cargo ships," said Head of IT and Communication Immigration Muhammad Maryadi, represented Head of Batulicin Immigration Office Gusti Bagus M Ibrahim here, Monday.

18 Filipino foreigners arrived on Saturday (April 20) using MV Grand Island ship with Marshall Island flag. While 22 Chinese came on Sunday (April 21) using MV Aris Glory.

They came to Kotabaru to unload coal from PT Jhonlin Group shipper to be brought to China.

All foreigners were checked directly on their respective ships. The immigration team has conducted all inpsection procedures and the results found no immigration violations.

"Erratic weather and waves made the team felt difficult to get to the ships which were quite far from the mainland," said Maryadi.

The office continues to monitor foreigners, whether their stay in Kotabaru is according to their permit schedule or not.

"If they violate, we will take action according to the immigration law," he said.
