The Batulicin Immigration Office invites all level of residents of Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru Regency to be involved in monitoring foreigners in their respective neighborhood.
"This is in order to guard the democratic party which will take place in 2024," said Head of the Immigration Information Technology and Communication Muhammad Maryadi, representing the Head of Batulicin Immigration Office I Gusti Bagus M Ibrahim here, Monday.
He said Batulicin Immigration Office, as the leading sector in monitoring foreigners, invites all communities and agencies to play active role in monitoring the whereabouts of foreigners.
It is to ward off various potential of vulnerabilities that could threaten political stability, law and state security.

In connection with the 2024 Election, vigilance is needed regarding the presence of foreigners, especially in Tanah Bumbu District and Kotabaru District. The threat could be in the form of foreign influence, espionage, global terrorism, separatism, money laundering, sabotage, cyber war, potential vulnerabilities to foreign journalists and others.
"Antisipation could be taken is cross sectoral cooperation relaterd to monitoring and anticipatory efforts towards actions that could create potential vulnerabilities in the 2024 Election," he said.
He added that the role of community in monitoring the presence of foreigners needs to be increased, especially in the sub-districts and villages.
Head of village and the community are expected not to be afraid and hesitate to report to the Immigration and they can ask immigration officers directly about immigration
"Supervision of foreigners is essectially a shared responsibility to realizing law enforcement in various fields, including immigration," he said.
So far, the number of foreign workers in Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru has reached 133, and data on mixed marriage of two people.
