The Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, Social Agency (Dinsos) organized dissemination on 2024 non-cash social assistance.

Tanah Bumbu Assistant for Government and People's Welfare Eka Saprudin here on Saturday said the activity aims to support acceleration of digital economy, where Bank Indonesia and the government synergized.

One of them is through non-cash social assistance programs through Basic Food Program and Family Hope Program (PKH), which also involves the State-Owned Bank Association (Himbara).

"50 participants who attend (the dissemination) consist of PKH beneficiaries, companions, beneficiary families (KPM), and agents," said Eka.

Business model for expanding the regular non-cash social assistance is a form of program implementation support. Here KPM assistants and representatives collaborate with Social Agency and Himbara as implementing the distribution.

"We hope that the number of beneficiaries to decrease over the time, which means there will no longer be any poor people in Tanah Bumbu," he said.

The regional government also ready to help accelerate the digital economy ecosystem for the benefit of society.

"In PKH distribution in 2023, the number of recipients in Tanah Bumbu was 4,960 families with two distribution agencies, Himbara for 3,985 families and PT Pos 975 for families," said Eka.
