The South Kalimantan Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) has selected 17 participants to compete in the 2024 Indonesia-Australia Inter-country Youth Exchange.
Head of the Agency's Youth Empowerment Rokhyatin Efendi here on Thursday said the exchange program is an effort to enhance the quality of youth in various scientific fields.
“Youth from the region should get the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and insight and to face various challanges that are increasingly complex in modern era,” he said.

He said 17 male participants from 13 districts and cities have gone through various preparation and rigorous selection stages.
“This program will encourage youth to explore the potential of various regions in Indonesia, so they later will be able to answer challanges at the global level,” he said again.
With strict selection and intense debriefing, he said, the youth exchange program between countries is expected to produce yougn people who have quality and are able to provide the best work to the nation and state.
“The local government is always open to providing opportunities for young people to develop their abilities. We hope this program will motivate the youth to give their best work,” said Rokhyatin.
