The City Government of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, won first place in the 2024 Family Development Index (iBangga) Award held by the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN).

Banjarbaru will then represent South Kalimantan at the national level to compete with other cities in Indonesia and the city set a target of winning the national championship.
 
"Alhamdulillah, the success of achieving the highest score is encouraging, especialy before Eid al-Fitr, so we are happy," said Mayor Muhammad Aditya Mufti Ariffin in Banjarbaru, Saturday.
 
Banjarbaru's IBangga was the highest among districts and cities in South Kalimantan with a score of 13.885, followed by Central Hulu Sungai District with a score of 10.655 and Balangan District 10.100 as the 3rd winner.

BKKBN carried out assessment of 13 districts and cities in South Kalimantan through various stages, including document verification and field inspection until determinng the winner.
 
Aditya said that the success in achieving the highest score of 2024 iBangga Award was thanks to solid cooperation of all SKPDs (government working units) within the Banjarbaru City Government, they mutually support various government program.
 
Aditya hopes that this achievement at the provincial level to scale up to the national level by winning the best, so he asks for support of all the people in Banjarbaru.
 
iBangga Award is an event to measure family quality, demonstrated through peace, independence, and family happiness as well as describing role and function of families in an area.
 
These things are also important indicators used by BKKBN in measuring the success of Banjarbaru City Government in its family development program.
