The State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) of Kotabaru is making efforts to accelerate the distribution of Direct cash Assistance (BLT) in the district for the period of 2024.
"We continue to making discussion and coordination with the Kotabaru District Government to disentangle what are obstacles in the process of expediting the distribution of village fund," said acting Head of Kotabaru KPPN Muhammad Falih Ariyanto in Batulicin, Friday.
He said this year Kotabaru receives Rp163.93 billionvillage fund for 198 villages from the central government.
The first stage of the fund has been distributed to 28 villages worth Rp13.77 billion. The fund consisted of earmark as village direct cash assistance (BLT desa) for food security and stunting reduction programs.
Rp9.56 billion fund for reducing stunting and Rp4.21 billion non-earmark fund to finance the village priority activities.

To overcome the low absorption of village fund, Falih sked the Kotabaru government to immediately propose the distribution to KPPN.
"We ask the Kotabaru government to immediately propose the distribution so that the village BLT will be received by the community more quickly," he said.
The distribution of village fund from the central government is to support the economic recovery program through social protection for villagers who are in the extreme poverty category, maintaining food security and to support national priority program for stunting prevention and reduction in the village.
"Village BLT is eagerly awaited by the communities. This Ramadan is the right time to distribute the BLT to beneficiary groups (KPM) which have been decided through village meeting and stipulated in regulation of each village head," he said.
