Chairman of Kotabaru DPRD, South Kalimantan, Syairi Mukhlis, is seeking equitable development in the district to be realized sooner through absorbing people aspirations during the recess.
Syairi Mukhlis noted in a press statement received here on Wednesday that recess period for DPRD members is an appropriate means for making good relation, as well as absorbing people aspirations to accelerate equitable development.
"Each member gets the opportunity to visit they respective electoral districts, and I took recess in Gerongang, Kelumpang Tengah Sub-district," he said.

There were many proposals and aspirations expressed by the community, he said, all of which were ready to be accomodated, but not necessarily will happen. at least DPRD will convey their aspirations according to procedurs, including prioritizing issues that are included in the priority scale.
"Each of their aspiration must be included in the Village Development Planning Forum (Musrenbangdes), to be then mapped based on priority scale," he said.
In Geronggang Village, Kelumpang Tengah, he said, there are always activities every year, both empowerment and infrastructure which are carried out and enjoyed by the residents.
In 2023, of the Rp210 billion Kotabaru APBD (budget), some of it flowed for infrastructure in the Kotabaru land areas, in 12 sub-districts.
"In 2024 there will also be frurther activities for the construction of Tanjungsari - Sangsang road," he said.
Syairi asked the community to map the area of their cultivated agricultural land in relation to making a masterplan for the plan to build a reservoir for irrigation in their area, so that agriculture grows and develops well.
