The Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Health Office is now increasing monitoring as three patients were confirmed positive for COVID-19.


"After three patients tested positive for COVID-19 at Siloam Hospital, we keep on monitoring the developments in the field," said Head of Banjarmasin Health Office Tabiun Huda here on Thursday.

He expounded that the patients, who had been treated at the hospital, were previously coming from out the city, Jakarta.

"So far there is no additional cases have been detected in hospitals in the city," said Tabiun.

He urged the public to stay alert, while maintaining health, considering COVID-19 cases have returned to the city.

"Wear masks (especially) in crowded places, also continue to maintain good health," Tabiun said.

Especially now in holidays season ahead of New Year, he said, people should apply health protocol.

He reminded that the national COVID-19 cases have now increased by almost 3,000. "Both new and old varient of the virus," he said.

However, Tabiun asked the public not to worry too much about the COVID-19 cases.

"Stay calm, take care of your health, do your activities as usual, but remain alert, use a mask in crowded (public places)," he said.
