PT Adaro Indonesia has again reaffirmed itself as a mining company with the best environmental management as the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK) confered it the 2023 Gold Proper.


President Director of PT Adaro Indonesia Priyadi Sutarso said the company was considered capable of achieving effeciency in reducing energy, reducing emission and controlling the burden of water pollution through various innovations.

"In carrying out energy reduction efficiency, PT Adaro Indonesia applied the Adaptive Eco On HD 785-7 v.03 innovation and succeeded in reducing energy by 3,090 GJ," Priyadi noted in a written statement received in Tanjung, South Kalimantan, Friday.

Adaro Indonesia, he said, implemented similar innovation and reduced emission by 283.4 tonnes of CO Eq2 to control emission reduction.

Adaro Indonesia implemented "EonWash" innovation by washing workshop floor and was able to reduce the burden of water pollution by 9,664 cubic meters.

Priyadi said Adaro Indonesia won Gold Proper for the sixth time in a row since 2019.

Vice President Ma'ruf Amin handed over the award to President Director of PT Adaro Indonesia in Jakarta, Wednesday (Dec 20,2023).

VP said the world is  currently facing three environmental crisis, namely climate change, loss of biodiversity, and environmental pollution.
 
“Environmental problems are universal problems that require thorough solution, one of which is through sustainable developemtn,” he said.

The Company Performance Rating Program Award for Environmental Management (Proper) aims to encourage industry compliance with laws and regulations in the field of environmental management. 

Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry Alue Dohong said Proper is a program that began 27 years ago and continues to make improvements.

In 2023, Proper receives the Top Five Outstanding Achievement of Public Service Innovation Award from the Ministry of the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry (KemenPAN-RB).
