Ambassador of Palestine to Indonesia Zuhair Al Shun lauded the government and residents of Banjarbaru for their care and solidarity. He is optimistic that Palestinian State will immediately become independent because of the support of Indonesian government.


“Thank you for the humanitarian aid from Banjarbaru City for Palestine. Insya Allah with the support of Indonesia, Palestine will soon be independent,” he said when leading an oration in humanitarian support for Palestine independence in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan, Sunday.

Zuhair expressed his gratitude to thousands of people of Banjarbaru City who gathered for their very high enthusiasm to defend Palestine and support it to be independent.

“My brothers, Palestine need support from Indonesia to be fully independent. Your presence today is a proof that Indonesia is committed to fighting for Palestinian independence,” said the ambassador, who was accompanied by Banjarbaru Mayor.

Zuhair, on that occasion, assured that humanitarian aid from Banjarbaru City would reach and be right on target for the people of Gaza who are the victims of war.

According to him, currently the residents of Gaza City are experiencing hunger as a result of war. Many buldings were destroyed and many people suffering because of Israeli's bombardment.

Zuhair also expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, parliament, and all the people of Indonesia who sincerely provided endless support to Palestinians who were victims of the Zionist war.

During his traveling to several cities in Indonesia, Zuhair said that the Indonesian people expected and fully supported the indepence of Palestinian people, which will be the beginning of Palestine to independence.

“Independence is truly the right of all nations and therefore colonizations in the world shall be abolished, as it is not in accordance with humanity and justice. That is the first paraghraph of the 1945 constitution of the Republic of Indonesia," said Zuhair.
