Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarbaru Mayor Nadjmi Adhani chooses name "Idaman" for a new hospital which was just completed and ready for operation in the near future.
"The name Idaman for the hospital was already selected in accordance with input of various parties, both public and legislators," said the mayor in Banjarbaru, Friday.
He said, naming the hospital which construction funded by pure budget (APBD) amounting to Rp219 billion has been through the long enough process till finally found the name of "Idaman".
After he conveyed to the public and legislators for a fitting name for the new hospital, he got a lot of input names, such as "Murjani" and "Van der Pielj".
"The name Murjani is synonymous with iconic Murjani field, while Van der Pielj also has been used for the name of park. So that the chosen name of "Idaman" appropriate with a nickname of Banjarbaru," he said.
"Idaman" is the nickname for Banjarbaru which is the acronym of "indah, damai, nyaman dan aman" (beautiful, peaceful, comfortable and safe). "We hope that the name be accepted by society, "he said.
While naming "Idaman" was also discussed by legislators through internal plenary meeting and they unanimously endorsed the name.
"The results of the internal plenum legislators agreed to support a hospital name" Idaman" in accordance with the motto and nickname of Banjarbaru as the Idaman City," said Chairman of the local legislative council AR Iwansyah.
The new hospital is planned to operate in October 2016, it provides good health services according to the standard of health services. It is situated at Jalan Trikora, Guntung Manggis Village.
