Medical Faculty students of Lambung Mangkurat University(FK-ULM) won a number of champions at the 2023 Regional Medical Olympiad (RMO) held at the University of Sebelas Maret (UNS) Solo from 11 to 13 August 2023.
"Arbor Vitae (AV) from ULM Faculty of Medicine sent five teams of delegation and winning in the fields ofcardiorespiration, digestive, uroreproduction, and infectious disease," said Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni of FK-ULM Fauzie Rahman in Banjarbaru, Tuesday.
1st champion for cardiorespiration (heart and respiration) was won by M. Fathan Kamil Taqiyuddin and Ronald Christian Madika.
2nd champion in digestive was won Devina Yulie Fatria and Jonathan Davin Anggara.
In the field of genitourinary, Nurul Asmi Mashuri and Siti Feritasia Amellia won 3rd place and 3rd winners in infectious disease were Raudha Rizkiafillah and Salwa Sabrina.
Fauzie said that this success could not be separated from coaching carried out by a team of lecturers from Medical Study Program through AV student organization driven by dr. Alfi Yasmina, M.Kes, PhD, as AV constructor.
He hopes this achievement could be maintained and improved in the next year by continuing to apply structured and systematic coaching.
He said the university's support and encouragement from student organization such as Arbor Vitae shows that the future of medical personnel in Indonesia is getting better and more accomplished.
The RMO event was not only bringing together young talents in the field of medical, but also to prove the quality of education of state universities in Indonesia.
Chairman of FK-ULM Arbor Vitae Gastin Gabriel J said he was very proud of the achievement of the AV teams at 2023 RMO.
He hopes with this achievement the support and attention from the university will be stronger both in term of funding and facilities to encourage students to achieve even more glarious achievement in the future.
