The 2023 Loksado Festival in South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District, South Kalimantan Province, in addition to driving tourism also improves the economy of the local people, HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry said.
"We thank the Ministry of Tourism and the South Kalimantan Tourism Office for attending Loksado Festival. It is not just driving tourism but also the economy," said HSS Regent at Alam Roh Tujuh Resort, Lok Lahung, Loksado, Sunday.
Fikry expounded that the presence of the central and provincial government was a significant support for the district to continue to develop Loksado as a tourist attraction, one of which is bamboo rafting.
In the future, his party will look for a format for bambo rafting to be the icon of HSS with a new innovation, so that people are always interested in visiting Loksado.

"The culture, such as the local wisdom that owned by the HSS community, is to encourage the growth of tourist visits," said Arum.

Head of South Kalimantan Tourism Office Muhammad Syarifudin felt proud and highly appreciated HSS Regent and his staff for their effort to advance tourism by holding Loksado Festival in sustainable manner.
Through this festival, he said, information about cultural wealth, natural wealth, and the uniqueness of tourism in Loksado will be widely disseminated.
"Promotion is an important part of the progress of our tourism. Don't expect tourism to progress if it is weak in term of promotion. Loksado is a very potential object of tourism, especially bamboo rafting," he pointed out when opening the peak of the festival.
The peak of 2023 Loksado Festival began with the traditional kurung-kurung attraction by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, HSS Regent, and Head of South Kalimantan Tourism Office.
It was then closed with sending off bamboo rafting by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, representatives of South Kalimantan Governor, HSS Regent and HSS Forkopimda from Alam Roh Tujuh Resort to finish at the Gunung Kantawan Cottage.
