Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Laut Fisheries and Marine Agency in cooperation with the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) held a cooking menu competition using all fish ingredients.
Regent H Bambang Alamsyah in Pelaihari on Monday said that eating fish is very important for public health of Tanah Laut.
"Not only as a food menu, but the fish have economic value as one of the drivers of the economy," said Regent.
If Tanah Laut people like to eat fish, he called, then the fish needs to increase, and the economy through the fishing industry will rotate.
"Let eating fish be a culture, because the benefits are great, not only for the economy but also for our health together," he said.
The all-fish menu and flower arrangement competition, regents hoped, can provide benefits to participants, and these activities are not just leave it at that, but it can be conducted continuously.
"This activity should not stop until here, but to be forwarded to the larger, so that later more people know the benefits of eating fish," he said.
Head of Fisheries and Marine Agency Ahmad Mustahdi said, Competition of All-fish Menu is an annual event jointly held with local PKK.
The competition was conducted in phases from the sub-district to the national level in an effort to achieve fish-based food security, the creation of diversifying the number of menu of fish meal and socialize the benefits of eating fish.
