The Government of Kotabaru District has received the first best award for its regional financial management based on the Measurement of Regional Financial Management Index (IPKD) in 2022.
The award was bestowed upon the Kotabaru District by the South Kalimantan Research and Development Agency (Balitbangda).
"This is our pride that our government has run, used, and maintained the budget on target and submitted reports on time," said Kotabaru Regent Sayed Jafar here as reported on Friday.
He said that Kotabaru was one the regions that received the assessment of IPKD in accordance with the Home Affairs Minister Regulation No. 19 of 2020 concerning Regional Financial Management.
The regent thanked the provincial government both personally and as the government of Kotabaru for the honor.
He said the award was a proof of Kotabaru's hard work in managing regional finances.
"I ask all government working units (SKPD) within the Kotabaru Government to pay attention and run finances properly and correctly," he emphasized.
He also pointed out that Kotabaru has received an unqualified opinion (WTP) on its financial reports in recent years consecutively, because the government has showwn effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable performance.
Head of Kotabaru Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Rurien Srihardjanti said that Kotabaru has actually received the IPKD title in 2021, but that year no team has yet been formed.
"In 2022, Kotabaru is ranked first with a score of 75.3692," said Rurien Srihardjati.
According to her, besides receiving IPKD award, the Kotabaru government has also inked a Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU) with the Geospatial Information Agency. The Regent was accompanied by the Kotabaru Regional Secretary in this cooperation.
