Energy and Mining Editor Society (E2S) has awarded PT Adaro, one of the largest coal miner, with Best CID Manager Coal Mining Company.
The honor was bestowed on Zuraida Murdia Hamdie, Head of CSR Department PT Adaro Energy Indonesia, at the E2S awards 2022 which was held concurrently with 2023 Mineral Resources Energy (ESDM) Sector Outlook entitled CEO’s New Vision Reforms to Shape the Energy Transition at the Bimasena Club The Dharmawangsa Jakarta, Tuesday (Dec 13, 2022).
Chairperson of the 2022 E2S awards jury Lili Hermawan handed over the award directly to Zuraida as a coal mining company CSR person who was entitled to the Best CID (Community, Innovation and Development) Manager.
“Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful for the appreciation given by E2S. For me, this awar is actually dedicated to all Adaro CSR Warriors who work every day with enthusiasm and sincerity to realize Adaro Nyalakan Perubahan (Adaro Turn on Change)," Zuraida remarked.
She said the award was proof that Adaro's work had been able to produce an impact and attract the attention of many parties, including media.
“For me, an award is a form of reminder that we have arrived at a point, not an end, but a starting point for better and more impactful performance an achievements,” she pointed out.
Zuraida expressed her gratitude to E2S for the award as well as thanks to Adaro's leaders who have continuously made her a true leaner and to her colleagues, all Adaro's CSR stakeholders who always been part of this success.
“Let's continue to be passionate about Igniting Change for a more beautiful and prosperous Indonesia and the world," she concluded.
The E2S awards is held as an award event for individuals, and companies or business entities in the energy and mineral resources sector who have a high commitment in implementing and being responsible for Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) aspects in their operational.
There are five stages carried out by the jury in giving their assessment, namely media media monitoring for one year from January to Desember 2022 to see information that come up in the media related to news in ESDM sector.
From the media monitoring, the jury will see the actions taken by the company as well as the performance of their CEOs and directors. Verification is then carried out by involving CSR experts and confirmation of relevant stakeholders.
The final judgement is to conduct a media visit to assess how their programs are being handled in the field.
“We hope that the E2S awarding to the individuals and business entities or companies will spark and trigger increased performance by prioritizing HSSE aspects and providing a chain effect, including for improving the welfare of the community around the company's operations," said Chairman of E2S Dudi Rahman.(adv)
