PT Maruwai Coal won the 2022 Indonesia Sustainable Development Goals Award (ISDA) held by the Corporate Forum for CSR Development (CFCD).

This award is an appreciation of PT Maruwai Coal's enthusiasm and efforts in the successful of reducing maternal mortality, neonatal mortality, and stunting rates in villages in Central Kalimantan Province.

The award was received by Sri Armiyati Jarkasi as Comdev Section Head of PT Maruwai Coal at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday (November 22, 2022).

"This ISDA award provides positive energy for Adaro Minerals and the Murung Raya District Health Office as Adaro's partners in improving public health status, in particular reducing stunting rates and reducing maternal and infant mortality rates," Sri noted in a statement receieved here on Sunday (Nov 27, 2022).

The integrated health posts (posyandu) strengthening program has succeeded in providing a large impact on the community with a strategy to build synergies between stakeholders in capacity building for human resources.

This includes procuring supporting facilities and infrastructure from posyandu at the village level to community health service facilities which are places of reference for villagers in the four sub-districts of Murung Raya District, Central Kalimantan.

PT Maruwai Coal, which is a subsidiary of Adaro Minerals, won the Gold award through the Posyandu Strengthening program for Dayak Bakumpal and Dayak Murung communities in its operational areas in the category of CSR Program SDGs 3 Healthy and Prosperous Life.

The ISDA 2022 award was awarded at the 5th award ceremony which carries the theme "No One Left Behind, Best Practice on the Roles of Corporates in SDGs" which is expected to be a stimulant for companies in Indonesia in supporting the realization of SDGs.

This year's ISDA was successfully implemented, followed by 103 companies in various business fields with a total of 223 best practices, as well as 30 individuals divided into the levels of directors, general managers, managers, CD staff officers, partners and local heroes who have contributed to SDGs activities.

CFCD Indonesia's appreciation for Adaro at the 2022 ISDA Award is clear evidence of the positive impact and benefits of the CSR program that can be felt by the community.
