Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for Investment and Infrastructure Development Agus Budi Wahyono said the ministry supports the acceleration development of electricity in South Kalimantan.
At the opening of South Kalimantan Provincial Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) in Banjarbaru on Monday, Agus said that based on the work plan of the Ministry of Energy until 2019 there will be 792 thousand megawatts of additional power.
"The policy of the current government to the power development is directly proportional to economic growth in some regions, particularly related to growth in the industrial sector which is in need of reliable electricity supply," he said.
Currently, Agus added, the economic growth in South Kalimantan is quite high, even above the national average, despite experiencing a slowdown due to the global economic crisis.
Director General of Regional Finance of Ministry of the Interior Reydonnyzar Moenek said in Musrenbang, stakeholders who were present to provide advice and input, so RKPD 2017 aligned with the priorities and targets of South Kalimantan Province in 2017 and the National RPJMN Year 2015-2019.
"Only with full commitment and cooperation involving all groups and segments of society, we will be able to make Indonesia a sovereign, independent, personality based on mutual cooperation, in accordance with the development vision of Indonesia in 2015-2019," he said.
RKPD, he added, has role and function very strategic in the implementation of local governance.
