Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A joint team of South Kalimantan Mobile Detective (Resmob), Banjarmasin City Police and Pulang Pisau Police seized three cross-South and Central Kalimantan swallow nest robbers.


"Three specialists of bird's nest robbers were arrested while aboard the plane at Syamsudin Noor Airport," said Director of General Crime Police Kombes Yustan Alfian in Banjarmasin on Monday.

The robbers were arrested on Sunday (20/3) night, at around 20:15 pm. The arrests led by Resmob Head AKP Arief Prasetya.

In the arrest, police securing evidence in the form of two plastic bags containing swallow nests of their criminal proceeds.

"The three perpetrators caught while on a plane before flying to Jakarta, and we found evidence of their crime," he said.

The three perpetrators were identified as Rohman (45), a resident of Kroya, Central Java, Hasim (44) and Jenudin (45), both residents of Indramayu, West Java.

The three have admitted that they committed theft of bird's nest in a number of areas in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

They were caught thanks to information from two of their colleagues who had been arrested earlier, namely Ahmad Yani alias Undul (48) a resident of Central Banjarmasin, and Muhammad Ali alias Encong (45), resident of East Banjarmasin.

"The case of theft of bird's nest is being developed by officers in the field, and several perpetrators have been submitted to Banjarmasin City Police," he said.
